Kaya began her journey of natural healing in 1992 at the University of California Santa Cruz. She studied massage and acupressure while completing her BA in Community Health Care and Medical Anthropology. She also completed an extensive program at the esteemed Dr. Sherer’s Institute of Natural Healing in Santa Fe, NM. Kaya lived in West Africa for 5 years studying the relationship between modern and traditional medical systems and currently runs the non- profit organization African Birth Collective, connecting international midwives, supplies and resources to Senegalese maternity clinics. Kaya specializes in deep, specific massage technique, reflexology and lomi’ili’ili hot stone therapy treatments. Kaya is mother to 3 beautiful children and an avid teacher of African Dance.
