Koru is a Maori word meaning new beginnings, harmony, and strength.  Symbolized by a silver fern frond unfurling; a small child; a newborn spirit.

KORU Health Center is Eugene’s one-of-a-kind independent holistic health center that provides a unique collaborative healing experience because it creates a dynamic partnership empowering clients and healers to work toward physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness. KORU provides one-stop access to a diverse array of holistic and integrative healing modalities, including both well-established and leading-edge approaches. KORU’s model stresses collaboration between practitioners and clients. This partnership is enhanced by an emphasis on developing an inner sense of what is needed, and recognizing that each of us must be in the driver’s seat when it comes to managing our habits and choices.

Strategic partnerships are being made with the University and other medical institutions enabling us to serve as a bridge between holistic and conventional medicine, facilitating creation of collaborative training and healing alliances as well as sharing of knowledge.

KORU Health Center and Clients

KORU serves as a source of information and clarity about health and illness, as well as a place to find therapeutic interventions that can uncover the root causes of chronic conditions and build a foundation for further growth. Some clients come simply to bolster basic wellness – to increase energy and overall physical well-being. Others are focused on addressing chronic conditions which are debilitating and painful. The common thread among all of us, whether working on ourselves or helping others, is a desire to take an active role in creating our own wellness. Ultimately creating a wholeness of being that results in a community of like-minded people. To support each of us in this effort, KORU has created a healthy environment that mirrors the nurturing energy of KORU’s healing community. We choose natural, non-toxic, and recycled materials and follow the principles of Feng Shui to achieve optimal energy flow in the KORU space.
